The enterprise academy project is designed to develop enterprise and business skills with schools across the North Notts and North Derbyshire LEGI (Local Enterprise Growth Initiative). This work is starting to be disseminated to other LEGI areas.
The virtual enterprise academy is a complete world of supported learning, working with the best of local talent to develop students’ enterprise and business skills in partnership with focus schools.
The Enterprise Academy work with schools includes enterprise-focused student workshops, enterprise training for teachers and the creation of enterprise programmes integrated into the curriculum. Schools decide what they want to do and no limits develop the supporting materials for programmes to enable teachers to focus on delivery. Activities include a variety of enterprise challenge events with students.
