The Diploma is a new kind of qualification for 14 to 19-year-olds.
It’s different to GCSEs and A levels because you get a mix of classwork and hands on experience. This means you can do English, Maths and ICT while finding out what it’s like to work in a particular industry.
NCFE is a national awarding body. Awarding bodies design and award qualifications which recognise the skills, knowledge and understanding achieved by a learner at a particular level and in a particular subject.
The ILM has provided leadership and management courses to the employment sector since 2001 and is the largest player in its field. In line with its emphasis on linking learning to the workplace, it offers enterprise qualifications. A few ILM qualifications are now available for 14+ students and with their credibility with employers these are a valuable addition to any qualification offer for students
